TOEFL / English Language Proficiency Waiver

If you do not have proof of English Language Proficiency and are seeking admission to CSULB or our partners, our Intensive English Program (IEP) offers a TOEFL / English Proficiency waiver.

Undergraduate

To be eligible for the undergraduate-level TOEFL / English Proficiency waiver, you must successfully complete all classes in IEP Level 4.

*Upon successful completion of the ALI's IEP Level 4, you will meet the university's English language requirement.

Graduate

To be eligible for the graduate-level TOEFL waiver/English Proficiency waiver, you must successfully complete IEP Level 6.

*Upon successful completion of the ALI's IEP Level 6, you will meet the university's English language requirement.
