CSULB is a vibrant, diverse public university committed to building connections with students, scholars, and partners around the world. The Center’s team strengthens these connections through numerous activities. We welcome thousands of students, scholars, and professionals to our campus each year for a range of degree and non-degree programs, and we offer a wealth of learning and research opportunities for CSULB students and faculty abroad. Departments within the Center for International Education:

International Admissions

International Admissions communicates with applicants through every stage of the admissions process to ensure that their documentation is complete, makes admissions decisions for all undergraduate applicants and facilitates the issuance of visa support, and conducts an initial review to determine eligibility before forwarding applications to graduate departments for admission decisions. 

International Recruitment

International Recruitment connects with prospective students around the world who are seeking to make The Beach their academic home. We coordinate outreach efforts with overseas partners; organize information sessions and workshops for advisors, students, and parents; and represent CSULB at international recruitment events.

International Student & Scholar Services

The Office of International Students & Scholars Services (ISS) can help you with questions on immigration, insurance, employment authorization, and advice on living in Long Beach. ISS also provides support for visiting scholars and international faculty.

Study Abroad

The Study Abroad Office provides all the information needed to study, intern, or volunteer abroad. Learn about CSULB study abroad program types and opportunities and information on selecting the appropriate program, transferring classes, and the application of financial aid.
