Please note: The online GLP for International Students program is offered for those able to join from their home country. However, I-20 forms are not currently issued for this program, since F-1 visas to study within the U.S. only apply to programs with at least 18 hours of in-person classroom time.
CSULB’s Center for International Trade and Transportation (CITT) offers the Global Logistics Professional (GLP) program for international students. Through this program, you will participate in all six courses of the Global Logistics Professional (GLP) program with regional industry experts, fellow classmates from CSULB, and students from around the world. The six-month program is designed to provide supply chain and logistics training from a U.S. perspective. Additionally, it offers English language instruction from CSULB’s American Language Institute (ALI) and/or courses offered through Open University. Students will also experience various aspects of the U.S. culture.
The GLP designation is endorsed by industry professionals as a comprehensive educational program for individuals entering or seeking advancement in the field of supply chain management and logistics. The designation enhances marketability and opportunities for career advancement.
The GLP program is grouped into five individual courses and a final team Capstone Project, which includes an oral presentation and written logistics plan.
The Global Logistics Professional (GLP) program for international students is intended for students applying from outside the United States and seeking a SEVIS form I-20 for an F-1 student visa. We advise that you review the Application Checklist below and apply at least two months prior to the program start date in order to allow enough time to schedule the visa appointment. Transfer students in the United States may submit their applications with appropriate documents up to one week prior to the program start date.
"After 6 months of the Global Logistics Specialist program at CSULB, I received a strong foundation for a newcomer like me. Every topic was taught by a different expert who has a strong background and experience in that industry. The program is well-organized, approachable, and also provides me with the chance to participate in events related to logistics--for example, visiting Toyota's warehouse. I also learned a lot from friends who have different professional industry backgrounds via the program's Capstone Project. The GLS program provides a diverse environment for me to learn. I highly recommend this program to anyone."

I have widened my knowledge about logistics--not only from the program, but also from meeting friends from other countries who shared their knowledge as well as culture. The program has given me sufficient skills to enter the logistics industry from many perspectives. It's been an amazing experience to earn my GLS designation in just six months.

"After exporting vegetables from Spain to the north of Europe for eight years, I was looking for a way to expand my logistics knowledge. I needed a course where I could learn all the major logistics issues that I needed to know in order to import and export all around the globe. The only course I found that met all these needs was the GLS Professional Designation Program at CSULB. This course has given me a broader perspective of the logistics industry, which has helped me create my own importing company. The staff at CITT created a welcoming environment for new students, which made me feel so comfortable. The GLS program has been an exceptional experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone."
